Mūl Secrets
The Brief
Slow beauty, built from the root.
Mūl Secrets came to the table with a clear set of values and no visual language to carry them. The brand believes in slow beauty — skincare rooted in ritual, in Ayurvedic principle, in the idea that the best formulations don't announce themselves. The brief was to build an identity that embodied that restraint without disappearing into it.

The Concept
Quiet marks for a loud shelf.
The brief sat in a tension that consumer beauty rarely navigates well: a brand with something meaningful to say, that needed to say it without shouting. Most natural beauty brands resolve this by going minimal-neutral — oat tones, quiet sans-serifs, negative space as personality. That's not restraint. That's camouflage.
The direction for Mūl was different. The identity had to carry weight — through the typography, through the packaging decisions, through the film — while still letting the ritual speak first. The name itself was the starting point: Mūl, meaning root or origin. Everything pulled back toward that: not newness, but depth. Not a trend, but a lineage.
The Making
The film as brand document.
The brand film wasn't a product ad. It was the brief compressed into motion — the pace of ritual, the texture of the formulation, the weight of the packaging against skin. Every frame was built to feel unhurried. Shot like someone who actually uses the product.
The packaging was developed in parallel. Structure, label proportion, typographic weight — all calibrated alongside the film, so the physical object and the moving image speak the same language without repeating each other.
Outcomes
An award and a product on shelf.
Mūl Secrets launched with the brand film as its opening move. The identity ran all the way through — packaging, digital presence, in-store touchpoints. The WhiteSquare Award recognised the work in the Film & Animation category.
The outcome that matters most is simpler: the product looks like the brief feels. Slow. Considered. Not trying to be anything other than what it is.
